Financial Controller wanted in Bucharest!

Role Purpose

The Business Area Financial Controller is accountable for the accuracy and reliability of the financial reporting of each local entity (7 entities) and the BA’s consolidated one, in the respect of the given deadlines following local norms as well as IFRS ones defined by the group.

She/He structures the financial reporting workflows with the Business Area, coordinate actively key processes (Budget/Forecasts/Closing), measure and monitor control systems designed for an efficient BA steering (DLAV/PnL) and for preserving company assets and report accurate financial statements.

Your new role

  1. Financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting
  • In coordination with each entity’s financial controller (or accountant ) and country managers, prepare the BA forecasts and annual budget
  • Provide insight and recommendations to both short term and mid-term plan to Country Managers, BA CFO and BA Head.
  • Provide monthly qualitative comments and performance indicators /reports to explain main variances vs last year and vs Budget or Forecast
  • Identify risks and opportunities with BA CFO and BA Head.
  • Work closely with the BA CFO to perform various ad hoc analysis across all LCE including strategic and tactical matters as it relates to budget management, cost benefit analysis, cash flow forecasting, risk management, legal & regulatory requirements, etc.

  • Support the consolidation of the BA business reports

    B. Controlling

    1. Assist the BA CFO in developing and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
    2. Perform monthly controls to ensure compliance with the Policies
    3. Analyze monthly OPEX and ensure that the costs are aligned with the Internal Policies
    4. Proactive in proposing and implementing process improvements within the organization

What you'll need to succeed

  • Master's degree or equivalent in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience.
  • Fluent in English
  • 3 years of progressively relevant work experience in financial analysis, planning, and reporting for a subs of an international Group.
  • Aptitude for computer systems (accounting software, ERP environments (SAP) and Microsoft suites. An advanced experience in high complexity degree of MS Excel will be appreciated.
