Our client is a systems integrator specializing in physical and cybersecurity solutions. Their primary mission is to ensure the protection of critical national and European infrastructure - both physical and digital - while also supporting the achievement of strategic national security objectives.
Your new role
The main objective of this role is to automate, optimize, and maintain our client’s infrastructure, with a strong focus on Kubernetes environments.
You will play a key role in ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of our development and production systems.
As a DevOps Engineer you will:
- Identify, investigate, and resolve issues and incidents promptly to minimize impact on end users
- Collaborate with the team to understand requirements and deliver optimized software solutions
- Maintain and enhance the performance of existing applications
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment using Kubernetes
- Manage Kubernetes clusters and automate container orchestration using Helm charts
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate operational standards into software development and deployment
- Monitor and optimize Kubernetes cluster performance, ensuring system scalability and reliability
- Implement and maintain security practices across all containerized environments and Kubernetes clusters
- Develop scripts and automation tools to improve operational efficiency and system manageability
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of learning and innovation
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in DevOps, containerization, and cloud computing to continuously improve our infrastructure
What you'll need to succeed
Education Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Automation and Computers)
Technical Expertise:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a DevOps Engineer role, with a strong focus on Kubernetes environments
- Expertise in managing and configuring Kubernetes clusters and using tools like Helm for package management
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI, especially in Kubernetes setups
- Solid knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform and Ansible
- Advanced Linux system administration skills: installation, configuration, support, and troubleshooting
- Experience with managing/configuring services and applications such as Apache/Nginx, MySQL/PostgreSQL, Keycloak, Redis, etc.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Proven problem-solving abilities and experience managing high-availability systems
