Your new role

As a PL/SQL Developer, you will:

• Develop and manage database-driven applications
• Optimize the performance of databases and applications
• Collaborate with the team to understand requirements and deliver optimized software solutions
• Maintain and improve the performance of existing applications
• Design, develop, and optimize PL/SQL procedures, functions, and packages
• Collaborate with developers and project managers to understand business requirements and translate them into database solutions
• Lead thorough testing and debugging of PL/SQL scripts to ensure robust and error-free applications
• Monitor and optimize database performance through efficient schema design and indexing strategies
• Assist in database schema design and recommend improvements to existing systems
• Provide support and maintenance for existing applications, enhancing functionality and resolving issues as they arise
• Document all work for future reference and compliance with internal standards
• Stay up to date with the latest Oracle technologies and best practices, especially Oracle APEX, to improve project outcomes

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Automation and Computers)

• Minimum 3 years of experience in database development, with a strong focus on PL/SQL
• Proven ability to write efficient and complex database queries and scripts
• Hands-on experience with Oracle database technologies; knowledge of Oracle APEX is highly desirable

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations
• Solution-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving results
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
