Your new role

You’ll join a collaborative engineering team working with technologies such as Java, PHP, Python, and various cloud platforms to build and maintain secure, scalable internal systems. This role involves close collaboration with distributed teams to modernize architecture by decoupling monolithic systems, developing microservices, and optimizing infrastructure to support a growing user base approaching 150 million.

• Contribute to platform modernization by transforming PHP services into scalable Java-based microservices
• Maintain and improve existing Java and PHP services through bug fixes and feature enhancements
• Ensure the scalability, reliability, and resilience of services for both internal and external users
• Promote the adoption of modern technologies, frameworks, and internal tools
• Recommend and implement system upgrades to enhance performance and maintainability
• Collaborate with the Test Engineering team to automate validation processes
• Work asynchronously with teams based in the U.S. to ensure smooth cross-time zone collaboration

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

• 3+ years of experience working with Java services, particularly using Spring Boot
• Solid understanding of microservices and scalable system architectures
• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, EKS, DynamoDB, Kinesis, and SQS
• Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra)
• Experience with messaging and streaming technologies like Kafka or NSQ
• Proficiency in English at B2 level or higher
