Senior DevOps Cloud Engineer
Project: Migration from on-premises infrastructure to AWS & Snowflake

About the Role
The Senior DevOps Cloud Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing AWS-based cloud infrastructure as part of a large-scale migration. This role involves working closely with development teams to ensure applications are deployed and operated efficiently in the cloud. The engineer will also contribute to automation, security, and CI/CD pipelines, integrating DevOps best practices throughout the lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Architecting, configuring, and optimising cloud infrastructure on AWS
  • Developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform
  • Automating deployments using CI/CD tools (GitLab pipelines, Ansible)
  • Supporting migration from Oracle to PostgreSQL and ensuring data consistency
  • Managing IKS/ICS (Internal Credit Scores) for risk assessment applications
  • Performance monitoring and capacity planning in cloud environments
  • Improving security with HashiCorp Vault and cybersecurity best practices
  • Troubleshooting issues related to cloud, networking, and Linux environments
  • Facilitating coordination between teams in Romania & UK

Required Skills & Experience
  • Hands-on experience as a DevOps Cloud Engineer or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of AWS services & Terraform for IaC
  • Experience with CI/CD automation (GitLab pipelines, Ansible)
  • Familiarity with Linux-based environments
  • Knowledge of SQL databases (PostgreSQL) and migration strategies
  • Agile development experience
  • Familiarity with risk management and ICS (Internal Credit Scores

Preferred Skills
  • Experience working with Packer & Docker
  • Understanding of financial data processing frameworks
