Our client, a well-known international presence in renewable energy in Romania, is extending its team.
Your new role
- Develop and implement commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules to ensure systems and equipment meet performance specifications and project requirements.
- Coordinate and manage the commissioning process, including pre-commissioning, start-up, and performance testing of systems and equipment.
- Review and interpret technical documents, such as engineering drawings, specifications, and manuals, to understand system requirements and design intent.
- Conduct site inspections and audits to verify installation quality and compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless integration of commissioning activities with overall project timelines.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues during the commissioning process, providing technical solutions and recommendations to resolve problems effectively.
- Prepare detailed commissioning reports, including test results, non-conformance reports, and documentation of any deviations from design specifications.
- Ensure all commissioning activities comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Provide training and support to clients and end-users on the operation and maintenance of commissioned systems and equipment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all commissioning activities, test results, and project documentation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance commissioning processes and procedures.
What you'll need to succeed
- University degree in electronics, electricals or energetics;
- Demonstrable experience in electrical engineering;
- Previous electrical experience on a wind/solar farm project is not essential but will be highly regarded;
- Deep understanding of QC Romanian Standards and Regulations;
- Leadership of site-based subcontractors and employees has resulted in a highly aligned, motivated, and engaged team;
- Ability to establish good working relationships with project stakeholders;
- Strong team skills;
- Experience in contractual documentation and technical specifications;
- Knowledgeable of energy engineering and constructability within renewable energy plants;
- Knowledge of regulatory, environmental and safety requirements;
- Ability to work effectively cross-functionally and with multidisciplinary project teams;
- Possess a basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices;
- Effective written and oral communication skills;
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, MS Project);
- Experience working in an international company;
- Estimating or site auditing experience is preferred;
- Photovoltaic installation experience is preferred.
