Security Compliance Engineer

Security Compliance Engineer coordinates and performs the client’s security assessment functions.

The Security Compliance Engineer coordinates and performs the client’s security assessment functions, control reporting, and compliance activities in alignment with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and departmental policies. This role ensures adherence to the client’s information security standards, collaborates with internal and external auditors, and safeguards all protected information managed by the client.

Key Responsibilities
• Implement security controls that meet regulatory requirements and ensure sustainable compliance aligned with the client’s objectives.
• Enhance the client’s security posture through process improvements, policy development, automation, and continuous capability evolution.
• Manage vulnerability processes (VMP), automate monitoring of vulnerabilities, mitigation actions, and risk reporting; develop dashboards and metrics.
• Conduct regular control assessments and prepare detailed reports.
• Support stakeholders in implementing and maintaining security controls across internal assets.
• Assess incidents, vulnerability scans, patching status, and Cyber Security Baselines.
• Document and report control failures and gaps; provide remediation guidance and track corrective actions.
• Collaborate with internal and external audit teams to provide required documentation.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Core Competencies & Knowledge
• Proficiency in written and spoken English; additional European languages are a plus.
• Strong understanding of IT systems, network infrastructure, data architecture, and security protocols.
• Knowledge of information security management, governance, compliance principles, and relevant regulations.
• Incident response management and confidentiality best practices.
• Analytical skills for problem-solving, data collection, and drawing valid conclusions.

Qualifications & Experience
• Preferably a degree in Computer Science, Informatics, or related technical field.
• Experience in cybersecurity programs, audits, risk assessments, remediation, or compliance management.
• Solid technical background with hands-on experience in cloud environments and IT infrastructure technologies.
