Medical Science Liaison on Neurology,
to join their high‑performing team. The company is well established on the European market and is known for its strong commitment to quality, continuous innovation, and improving patients’ lives.
Medical science liaisons require a high level of scientific and medical knowledge, and they are scientific experts to external experts and internal colleagues. One of the primary areas of focus for the MSL role is to provide non-promotional, disease state and product-specific information and medical support that help to ensure the safe and effective use of medicines through scientific interactions. Another role is to identify and develop partnerships with experts to implement medical and educational projects with a high level of science bringing value for patients.
Geographical areas of need: coverage of a wide territory/ big cities across the country – up to 50%
Your new role
In this role, you will:
- Develop and maintain peer-to-peer collaborations and relationships with key medical experts
- Serve as a scientific peer-to-peer resource to external disease experts and internal stakeholders.
- Support the medical community with up-to-date medical information, robust disease expertise and product information
- Better launch and manage the life-cycle of products
- Competitive Intelligence and insights gathering
- Collaborate with physicians on medical affairs initiatives, including publications, advisory boards, medical education projects, training, and speaker development
- Train internal stakeholders on key scientific and medical topics in the relevant therapeutic area
- Develop an understanding of the local landscape, including specialities involved in the care of patients
- Maintain effective and appropriate communication among internal stakeholders while maintaining full compliance with relevant requirements
- Generate tactical regional plans to provide needs-based, value-added support for the medical and scientific community in-line with company goals.
- Uses systems to strategically map, identify, profile and prioritise thought leaders in line with the medical plan and goals
- Maintain accurate reporting and documentation of MSL activities
What you'll need to succeed
- University Degree in Medicine/Pharmacy, or other medical related discipline.
- At least 5 years of previous experience in promoting original pharma products (experience in Medical Affairs or Medical Science role will be preferred)
- Experience in the field of neurology is appreciated
- Experience of working with KOLs
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, science-oriented
- Understanding of compliance considerations and demonstrate ability to work compliantly in a field-based role
- Open to travel across all country
- English – Advanced level
- High ethical standards of the medical industry for patient care
- Strong communication (verbal and written), presentation and relationship-building skills
- Strong listening skills
- Networking skills and the confidence to interact with experts on a peer-to-peer level
- Critical data analysis skills
- A willingness to keep up to date with scientific literature
- Energetically embraces responsibilities, demonstrates ability to achieve goals
- Strong initiative, and functions well as part of a cross-functional team
