Your new role
The purpose of job is to plan and manage the implementation of the QA/QC procedures on the construction site.
- Lead the onsite planning and implementation, and follow up, of a Quality Management Systems aligned with METKA-EGN's Operational Instructions and Procedures and focus on the compliance of Technical Specifications during construction activities.
- Supervise and manage all construction subcontractors on site to ensure quality compliance.
- Manage and ensure conformity with specifications and plans, and with laws, regulations and safety standards.
- Ensure engineering standards of quality, cost, safety, timeliness and performance are observed.
- Provide advice to contractors and construction teams on engineering methods and procedures to achieve the construction and production requirements.
- Manage the execution of onsite ITPs.
- Lead inspections and the generation of Materials Acceptance Reports for all goods arriving to site.
- Assist in the management of the Integrated Management System (IMS) and the Quality Assurance system.
- Coach and mentor Quality Coordinators from the subcontractors to ensure their understanding and implementation of the Quality Management System on a site level.
- Support the Site Managers to ensure the compliance and availability of the final documentation (As built drawings, Quality Assurance Documentation) for O&M.
- Represent Quality Management of METKA-EGN during internal and external construction audits, as well as ensure its positive outcome.
- Direction of Quality Engineer.
- Visit Contractors testing facilities, as required, to review quality programs, metrological plans, staff certification and compliance of standard procedures.
- Contribute to lessons learned and further development and improvement of construction methods on future projects.
What you'll need to succeed
- Trade School or Bachelor degree in a discipline related to construction or renewable energy, engineering or architecture is preferred.
- Experience in Quality Management within the renewable energy industry.
- Strong team building skills.
- Experience in contractual documentation and technical specifications.
- Knowledgeable of Civil, Mechanical or Electrical engineering and constructability within renewable energy plants.
- Knowledge of regulatory, environmental and safety requirements.
- Ability to work effectively cross functionally and with multi-disciplinary project teams.
- Three years of experience in a discipline related to construction and/or renewable energy.
- Estimating or site auditing experience is preferred.
- Photovoltaic installation experience is preferred.
- More generally, extensive experience in quality control and quality management in any other industry is strongly preferred.
- Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, MS Project).
- Advanced proficiency in Construction Management Software (ideally Procore).
- Experience working in an international company.
