Your new role
- Use available sustainability tools and carry out loss analysis to determine sustainability performance and identify opportunities for improvement, major focus on water consumption and water intensity
- Lead RCA and water loss investigations on site
- Develop creative cost effective solutions to meet global intent (with Engineering/Ops)
- Project manage larger water related projects onsite including potential contractor management and project engineering (as per TPA)
- Manage the implementation of Nalco water technologies on site with the commercial team
- Collaborate with process engineering on process improvements to reduce and reuse water on site during modifications
- Support the tracking and communication of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the site
- Coach associates at manufacturing sites to develop sustainability awareness
- Collaborate with other plant functions to embed sustainability in their workstreams (Quality, Engineering, TPM, Maintenance, etc.)
- Support SHE department on relevant sustainability and environmental tracking, compliance and projects
- Manage and support implementation of global sustainability policies like the Water Management tool and GSC Environmental Policy
What you'll need to succeed
- BS Chemical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Chemical or related industry
- Strong communication and influencing skills in a variety of settings (one on one, small or large groups) and across position levels
- Use fact based, structured decision making process to initiate and support appropriate actions
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams to a common path forward
- Ability to work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives
- Ability to effectively exchange information, instructions and ideas within cross-functional technical groups
