Our client is a systems integrator specializing in physical and cybersecurity solutions. Their primary mission is to ensure the protection of critical national and European infrastructure - both physical and digital - while also supporting the achievement of strategic national security objectives.

Your new role

• Analyze functional and technical specifications for web services (REST, SOAP, etc.) and identify relevant test scenarios
• Create and maintain automated API test suites using frameworks such as Postman, RestAssured, Karate, SoapUI, or equivalent
• Develop and document comprehensive API test plans, including testing strategies, entry/exit criteria, risk assessments, and traceability matrices
• Implement performance and security testing for APIs using tools like JMeter, Gatling, or OWASP ZAP
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.) with automated result reporting and monitoring
• Identify, report, and track defects through resolution in close collaboration with development teams
• Mentor QA team members on best practices in testing and automation
• Continuously optimize testing processes and adopt new tools and technologies to improve efficiency

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., Automation and Computers, Systems Engineering)

• Minimum 5 years of experience in software testing, with at least 3 years focused on API automation
• Advanced knowledge of protocols and formats: REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, OAuth 2.0
• Hands-on experience with one or more testing frameworks: Postman/Newman, RestAssured (Java), Karate, SoapUI, or equivalent
• Understanding of CI/CD principles and integration of tests into pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.)
• Familiarity with API performance and security testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, OWASP ZAP)
• Excellent documentation and communication skills in both Romanian and English
• Ability to work independently, make informed decisions, and prioritize testing activities
• Analytical thinking and attention to detail; strong focus on quality and continuous improvement
• Experience in developing and managing complex test plans
