This position sits at the intersection of technology, markets, and analytics. You will be accountable for the day-to-day operational coordination of large-scale battery systems, ensuring their optimal commercial dispatch across wholesale electricity markets, while supporting strategic reporting, forecasting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
The role offers strong exposure to market operations, regulatory environments, and data-driven performance optimisation within a fast-evolving energy portfolio.

• Own the accuracy and continuous maintenance of technical and commercial asset data within our storage and flexibility portfolio.
• Coordinate settlement and reconciliation activities for aggregated assets and long-term commercial agreements, working closely with internal finance and market teams
• Act as an operational interface with transmission system operators, market operators, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliant and uninterrupted market participation
• Develop and deliver structured performance dashboards and operational reports, tracking asset availability, revenue drivers, and portfolio KPIs.
• Contribute to periodic forecasting cycles, supporting budgeting, revenue outlooks, and variance analysis
• Support the evolution of internal analytical, forecasting, and optimisation tools to enhance dispatch accuracy and economic results
• Track regulatory and market rule changes and translate impacts into operational or process updates
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across portfolio operations, reporting quality, and data reliability

What you'll need to succeed

• A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Energy Systems, Economics, or a closely related discipline
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in electricity markets, energy operations, or market analytics
• Practical knowledge of electricity market structures, settlement mechanisms, and regulatory frameworks
• Working proficiency in one or more analytical or data tools such as Power BI, SQL, Python, or VBA
• Confidence handling complex datasets and translating data into clear operational insights
• A structured, analytical mindset combined with strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills
• The ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams
