About the job


We are recruiting a Financial Controller for our partner, leading real estate company, to join their Bucharest team. The role will place significant emphasis on optimizing financial processes within the ERP system and automating financial workflows, followed by managing a smaller portfolio of companies.


Key Responsibilities


  • Optimize financial processes within the ERP system and drive automation initiatives across financial workflows.
  • Lead self-improvements initiatives across financial systems, focusing on automation and streamlining end‑to‑end workflows.
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, and business plans.
  • Monitor budget deviations and provide analysis and commentary.
  • Track and analyze cost center performance vs. budget.
  • Support project managers with monthly expenditure analysis.
  • Ensure accuracy in financial transactions and reporting (A/R, A/P, GL, cost accounting, revenue recognition, IFRS compliance).
  • Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Contribute to the implementation of financial reporting systems.
  • Prepare board-level reports and presentations.
  • Strengthen internal controls and document accounting policies.


Qualifications


  • University degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Controlling or Audit (Big 4 experience is a plus).
  • Solid knowledge of IFRS.
  • Skilled in reporting tools (dashboards, trends, graphs).
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access).
  • Fluent in English.
