Your New Role
As a Key Account Manager (IKA), you will be responsible for building long-term, strategic relationships with key clients while driving sustainable growth and profitability. You will develop tailored account strategies and work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Logistics, and Finance teams to deliver outstanding business results.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management
- Build and grow strategic relationships with key retail and B2B accounts
- Lead the development and execution of Joint Business Plans aligned with growth objectives
- Drive portfolio expansion through new listings, upselling, and cross-selling opportunities
Commercial Negotiation
- Own and lead annual and promotional negotiations, securing optimal commercial terms.
- Manage pricing, promotions, and contractual conditions to ensure competitive positioning
- Optimise in-store execution, including shelf space, planograms, and visibility initiatives
Sales & Growth
- Deliver and exceed sales targets (volume & value) while driving market share growth
- Identify opportunities and act on performance insights to accelerate business results
- Partner cross-functionally to execute effective sell-in/sell-out strategies and forecasts
Profitability & KPIs
- Own account P&L performance, ensuring sustainable and profitable growth
- Monitor key KPIs (sales, margins, ROI, distribution) and act on data insights
- Manage financial exposure, including DSO and commercial risk
What You Need to Succeed
- 5+ years of experience in Key Account Management or modern trade retail (Buyer)
- Strong FMCG knowledge (food & beverage categories preferred)
- Proven experience working with large modern trade retailers is a strong advantage
- Good understanding of modern trade mechanisms (listing, planograms, promotions, shelf management)
- Proven negotiation and relationship management skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field
- Experience with CRM systems and forecasting/budgeting processes
- Analytical mindset (Excel required; Power BI is a plus)
- Results-driven, strategic thinker with excellent communication skills
- Valid driver’s licence (Category B) and willingness to travel frequently
