We are looking for a Senior Grid Connection Engineer for one of our clients.

• Oversee grid interconnection activities for renewable energy projects, ensuring execution aligns with scope, budget, and schedule
• Serve as the main point of contact for all technical, commercial, regulatory, and compliance topics related to transmission and distribution systems.
• Support development teams with technical expertise, addressing all grid connection requirements and potential impacts.
• Perform technical due diligence and evaluate risks associated with grid connection agreements involving Italian TSOs and DSOs
• Coordinate and manage external advisors and consultants involved in grid-related and project execution activities across Romania
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with transmission and distribution operators to facilitate application processes and project delivery
• Oversee submission of grid connection applications, ensuring full adherence to Italian regulatory frameworks and operator requirements
• Track application progress and proactively manage technical or regulatory challenges to prevent delays in project timelines.

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience working on grid interconnections for mid- to large-scale generation projects (approx. 10–50 MW)
• Demonstrated involvement in interconnection procedures within the Romanian market, including leading such processes
• Established network within the energy sector
• Familiarity with typical construction and equipment cost structures in the industry
• Strong command of English
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
• Additional qualifications in renewable energy, particularly in RES, are considered a plus.
